Version and release notes
Available since 0.1.0
The About dialog names the version and the build commit and carries the release notes of every shipped version; What's New opens once after an update.
The About dialog - MusicStation ▸ About MusicStation - names the version of the running build and the short git commit it was built from. Two builds can share a version number and still differ; the commit tells them apart, and the same version number is what every part of a release is built with.
Below it sits the release-note history of every version this build ships, newest first and grouped into New, Improved and Fixed. The list is a scroll region of its own, and the search field above it narrows the history down as you type - by version number or by any word of a note.
After an update, What's New opens by itself once for the new version and can be opened again at any time from the MusicStation menu; it closes with Escape, with its Close button or with a click beside it. Neither dialog needs a network connection, because the notes are bundled with the build.
Limits of this version
This page names the limits that matter in practice instead of implying more. What a release changed - and what it did not - stands in its release notes.
- These are the release notes of the application itself, one per version, and they carry no release date - the repository stores none. A version history per project, with named snapshots of your own work, is in development and is not part of this release.
